A Magellanic penguin running at Gypsy's Cove, East Falkland. Gypsy's Cove is the nearest penguin colony to Stanley, but word is numbers of Magellanics there are decreasing. This chap is pictured at his burrow. Notice the wire fencing - this fence marks a minefield. The penguin lives in a minefield, although I guess penguins are not heavy enough to trigger a mine. Now a Great Auk....
