This photo was taken just before landing at Rothera. On the left is the base where I was working and living. On the far right you can just make out an orange plane - this is a Dash 7 which I flew in from the Falklands on. In the foreground there's a pretty big iceberg whilst in the background you can just make out an island around 30km away - you really do get some tremendous visibilities in the Antarctic.
